Risa Kumazawa is Associate Dean for Academic Systems & Accreditation and Associate Professor of Economics in the Palumbo Donahue School of Business at Duquesne University. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, specializing in Econometrics and Labor Economics. She has previously served as Department Chair of Economics and Finance at Duquesne, a Principal Investigator of an Office of Naval Research grant and a confidential data researcher with the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Her research has been published in a number of scholarly journals including Applied Economics and Manchester School.  She is a member of the American Economic Association and the Eastern Economic Association.  In addition to speaking engagements for local organizations, she has made local media appearances for KDKA-TV, WTAE-TV, WPXI-TV, PCNC, KDKA-Radio, 90.5 WESA, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and The Tribune Review.
