Organized in 1910, THE ECONOMIC CLUB of Pittsburgh is one of the oldest and largest organizations of its type in the United States. For over a century, it has provided a distinguished public forum for intelligent, timely discussions of regional, national, and international economic matters and their interaction with the social and political environment.
The program each year covers a broad range of topical subjects and meets the wide variety of interests which the membership represents. Nationally and internationally‐known speakers are featured at the regular meetings. Question and Answer sessions and open discussions between speakers and members are a feature of the meetings.
The Economic Club of Pittsburgh offers its members the opportunity to stay well informed on regional and national economic, business, and finance issues.
The Monthly Luncheons, running from September to June, presents speakers from the worlds of business, finance, government, and academia. More Informally, Economic Club meetings are an opportunity to meet and network with fellow members from a wide variety of professionals and industries.
Each January, the Annual Forecast Luncheon, co‐sponsored with the Duquesne University School of Business Alumni Association, Pittsburgh Association of Financial Professionals and Risk Management Association, features a panel of respected economists offering their forecast for the upcoming year, in the national and regional economies as well as the financial marketplace.
